Privacy policy

Effective 24 Sep 2026. This policy covers thedebutroom.com. The short version: there are no accounts and no ads, our tools never upload your files, and we use Google Analytics to see which pages people read.

The tools run on your device

The album cover resizer, split sheet, royalty calculator and distributor finder all run in your browser. Artwork you resize and names or percentages you type into the split sheet are never sent to us or anyone else. When you download a file, it's created on your device.

What we store in your browser

We use your browser's storage to remember a few settings, such as light or dark mode. They stay on your device, and clearing your browser data removes them. Apart from YouTube videos you choose to play, the only cookies on the site are the Google Analytics ones described below.

Hosting and analytics

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and block attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, how people find them, and roughly where visitors are (country and city, not street level). Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell new visits from returning ones. It doesn't store your IP address, and we don't send it your name, email or anything you type into our tools. We don't use it for advertising.

Google processes this data under its privacy policy. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

If you email us

When you write to hello@thedebutroom.com, we keep the message and your address so we can reply. We don't add you to any list.

Other companies' content

Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser fetches them. See Google's privacy policy.

Some guides include YouTube videos. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube doesn't store information about you until you play a video. After that, YouTube's own policy applies.

Links to distributors and other services take you to their sites, which have their own privacy policies. TheDebutRoom has no affiliate tracking on those links.

Selling data

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@thedebutroom.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you further rights. We'll reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
