Laylo vs Feature.fm: which pre-save tool is better?

Feature.fm is better if you mostly need smart links and pre-saves. Laylo is better if you want to text and DM fans the moment a song drops.

Feature.fm’s pricing page lists a Free plan with unlimited smart links, one pre-save service and fan emails you can collect but can’t see until you upgrade. Basic Artist is $8 a month, Artist is $19 and Pro Artist is $39, a little less billed yearly. Paid plans add more pre-save services and retargeting pixels for your ads: 1 on Basic Artist, 2 on Artist, unlimited on Pro Artist.

Laylo works around drops. Laylo’s music page says fans can sign up by replying to your Instagram story with a keyword, then get a message by text, email or DM when the drop goes live.

Laylo’s pricing page shows a free plan with drop pages and 250 message credits. Pro costs $25 a month, or $300 a year with 25,000 credits included, and it’s where Instagram DMs and Spotify 1-click presaves sit. Messages cost extra. A US text is 10 credits per segment, and $1 buys 500 credits, so texting 1,000 fans runs about $20.

If you release through DistroKid, you already have a free pre-save page in HyperFollow. Start there, and pay for Feature.fm when you want ad pixels for something like a Meta ads campaign, or Laylo when you want a text list.
